1 Acceptance

By registering and using Tern you accept these Terms of Use in full. If you disagree, please do not use the platform.

2 Service description

Tern is a web platform that allows you to transcribe audio and video with AI, generate summaries, export in multiple formats and create social media content.

3 Plans and payments

  • → Free plan: permanent free access with 30 minutes of transcription per month, no credit card required.
  • → Paid plans: Soloist ($3 USD/mes), Storyteller ($8 USD/mes). Newsroom coming soon.
  • → Payments in USD via Mercado Pago (LATAM) or Mercado Pago (international)
  • → Plans renew automatically
  • → You can cancel from Settings at any time
  • → We do not refund partial billing periods already charged
  • → When plan minutes are exhausted the service suspends until the next cycle

4 Acceptable use

  • → Do not transcribe content that infringes copyright without authorization
  • → Do not use the service for illegal or fraudulent purposes
  • → Do not circumvent plan usage limits
  • → Do not share your account with third parties
  • → Do not generate content promoting hate, violence or discrimination

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these conditions.

5 Content ownership

The content you transcribe is yours. Tern claims no rights over your transcriptions. You are responsible for having the necessary rights over the audio you process.

6 Availability

Tern depends on external services like Groq Whisper. We do not guarantee 100% uptime. We will inform about planned interruptions when possible.

7 Limitation of liability

  • → Transcription errors due to low audio quality
  • → Data loss due to failures outside our control
  • → Misuse of transcribed content
  • → Interruptions caused by third parties

Tern is not responsible for the cases listed above.

8 Modifications

We may modify Tern features at any time. For significant plan or pricing changes we will notify with at least 30 days notice.

9 Applicable law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia.
